Flawless Start for Wisconsin 26ers 2028

What a start to the AAU season for the Wisconsin 26ers 2028 team — Coach Craig Kowal

Over the weekend, the 2028 squad was undefeated while facing skilled competition, capturing the War for the North tournament championship. Perhaps the most impressive aspect was the contributions made from all seven players. This group of rising stars showed tremendous toughness right up to the final buzzer.

Wisconsin 26ers (62) vs Team FSA Blue (56)

Team FSA featured incredible size for a 2028 team, however the perimeter shooting of Bradyn DeLong (6/7 from three) and the versatility of Will Dickinson (12 points) helped to overcome their elite size.

Scoring leaders:

DeLong (20), Kowal (15), Dickinson (12)

Wisconsin 26ers (81) vs Huskies (71)

After a poor start and falling behind 10-0, the 26ers seized control midway through the second half and pushed the lead to as many as 19. Cohen Kendhammer scored both inside and out, Will Dickinson was solid once again hitting a pair of midrange pullups, and Tyler Kowal hit 5 three-pointers in the win.

Scoring leaders:

Kowal (29), Kendhammer (18), Dickinson (12)

Wisconsin 26ers (70) vs EA Spartans (27)

Jaden Kolb got the offense going early with two quick baskets to start the game and the 26ers cruised home from there. Cade Sommerfield caught fire, hitting 6 three-point baskets and led the way with 19 points alongside Cohen Kendhammer.

Scoring leaders:

Sommerfield (19), Kendhammer (19), Burch (9)

Wisconsin 26ers (70) vs MN Hoop Troop (54)

This was perhaps the most complete game of the weekend, handily beating one of the top teams in Minnesota. MN Hoop Troop, coming off a tournament championship in Nashville the previous weekend, features several players from the Minnesota Tier 1 state champions. The 26ers were on fire from the start, making 13 three-point field goals, including nine from Tyler Kowal. Wylder Burch had some beautiful finishes to start the game and played extremely well on both sides of the ball. Bradyn DeLong played a great floor game, carving up their pressure and distributing the ball to the hot hands.

Scoring leaders:

Kowal (34), Burch (13), Kendhammer (11)

Wisconsin 26ers (76) vs Minnesota Fury (74)

The championship game was an incredible culmination to the weekend. After falling behind by six in the first half, the 26ers used a big run early in the second to regain the lead. This was a story of two great teams making play after play. Ultimately, the clutch free throw shooting of Wylder Burch and Tyler Kowal sealed the victory. Cohen Kendhammer and Bradyn DeLong were outstanding all game long, helping pick up the scoring slack when foul trouble became an issue.

Scoring leaders:

Kowal (27), Kendhammer (20), DeLong (15), Burch (10)
